We Love Our VOLUNTEERS!

We need your help in reaching the homeless and needy of South Florida. During the holidays and throughout the year, you can help us help others to experience changed lives.

We need individuals and groups to help us with various
projects and drives (food, clothing, hygiene, etc.)

Send us your interest and we will
get back to you shortly.

Volunteers are a vital part of providing all types of services in our Miami-Dade and Broward County Centers. Thousands of people from the community bring their time and talents to enrich the lives of the homeless men, women, and children that are being cared for throughout the year.

Not only are the homeless and needy touched by the compassion of our volunteers, but the volunteers' lives are also touched. Serving others is one of life's greatest priviliges. Reaching out to the least, the last, and the lost in a personal way that says, "I care about you" brings encouragement to our residents and staff. Whether its serving a meal, tutoring a student, or working with the youth - volunteers make a difference in people's live.

We couldn't do all the things we do without our great volunteers. Individuals and groups are always welcome at our Centers. Some people find unique ways to help. One woman made quilts for all of the kids last Christmas, another person started a shoe drive, and 3 children constructed a lemonade stand and rasied money for the homeless from their sales.

Youth groups from around the nation have volunteered. Businesses and civic groups have come to serve in various ways. The Faith Community provides services and special items. Schools have participated in food and clothing drives. The annual Hope Tote campaign for hygiene products is always a success due to our volunteers. There are so many ways that you can get involved.

What Can I Do to Be a Volunteer?

The first step is to contact us and then attend an orientation to learn more about volunteering and complete any necessary forms. In certain circumstances when working around children, a background screening may be necessary.
